I’m building a business in the middle of
real life, too.
I’m Brandi, a website designer, marketer, business owner, wife, and mom of two. Most days, I’m working somewhere between school drop-offs, client deadlines, laundry, appointments, and someone asking me what’s for dinner.
Mama Means Business grew out of that exact season of life. I wanted a place for women who are building businesses while raising families, managing homes, working jobs, chasing ideas, and figuring out how all of those pieces fit together.
WHY MAMA MEANS BUSINESS?
Because motherhood and ambition
can exist in the same sentence.
I kept seeing business advice that seemed to assume we all had eight uninterrupted hours a day,
endless energy, and nobody yelling “MOM!” from the other room. That’s not my life. And I know I’m not the only one.
Mama Means Business is where I can share what I’ve learned about websites, marketing, working from home,
making money online, running a small business, and creating a work life that actually fits around your real one.
No pretending everything is perfectly balanced. Just useful information, real experiences,
and ideas you can actually do something with.
MY STORY
I didn’t build my business in a quiet little bubble.
I’ve spent years working in marketing, graphic design, social media, websites, and content while also raising a family and figuring out what I wanted work to look like for me.
I didn’t want a business that required me to choose between being there for my family and doing work I genuinely enjoy. I wanted flexibility. I wanted something of my own. And yes, I wanted to make money doing something I’m good at.
It hasn’t always been neat or perfectly planned. There have been pivots, late nights, ideas that went nowhere, things I probably should’ve said no to, and plenty of figuring-it-out-as-I-go moments.
That’s part of why Mama Means Business exists.
